The Dairygold Board and Management are aware of the financial challenges facing farmers due to the recent adverse weather conditions and today, has announced a number of additional measures to support its beef and tillage customers.
Interest free credit for Tillage Customers
Interest free credit (“04 Account”) has been extended for grain suppliers and balances will now be payable after commencement of the harvest i.e. 50% to transfer to 01 Account in each of the months of July and August which will then be payable in August and September.
In addition, the purchase of fertiliser can now be added to the 04 Account, for deliveries up until 17th May.
€10 per tonne discount on Bulk Mainline Beef Feed
In recognition of the additional feeding costs incurred in finishing cattle due to delayed turnout Dairygold is offering customers a €10 per tonne discount on selected mainline bulk beef finisher feeds for the period 25th March to 24th April. This rebate will be processed as a credit to the April account.
The improvement in the weather over recent days has been very welcome and there has been a significant amount of animals turned out to grass and tillage operations have been progressing well. Dairygold will continue to monitor the situation and the impact on our Beef and Tillage customers to ensure that we can support them where possible. Meanwhile, if you have any query please contact your local ASM Or Branch Manager.
